Very lazy start and odd shelter spacing put me at Cable Gap for the first night out. I kick out some serious miles the next day to conquer the Stecoahs. Cheoah Bald provides a good outlook for what I have passed and what is yet to come. My confidence builds to a point where I know I will make Springer, making steady progress each and every day. The crowds in Wesser drive me crazy, the start of an entire weekend where the fifty questions game repeats and repeats. It subsides while the good weather continues. I surveyed my route south from Siler Bald, one of my favorites from this section, to Tray Mountain in Georgia. I was almost there! One last town stop on the schedule as I sidestep to Franklin for a final refueling. Previous | Day-by-Day | Photos | Next Home (A.T.
